This still isn't exactly the feel I had in my brain but I decided to get it up anyway. Here are the changes I'd like to make:
The colors aren't quite right. She disappears into the background.
Maybe the problem is that I'm using too similar of values for the whole thing.
Second problem is scale. Something just feels off about it at this point. Like she needs to be smaller but clearer. Is that possible?

This is great! I really enjoyed this. Autumn is one of my favorite seasons for the very reason of kick and crunching the leaves and also because it's my birthday.

great minds think alike! (I went for a girl crunching through leaves too!) I think you're being way too hard on yourself, this is a beautiful image - I love your atmospheric use of colour.
Thanks all! Now I've got to get going with this week's topic. I had a plan and it totally backfired. I have to learn to work with perspective. It just makes me feel crazy sometimes!
